Proposed Long Beach Liquid Natural Gas Terminal Terminated

Harbor officials voted Monday to end a review of a proposed liquefied natural gas terminal at the Port of Long Beach. The 750 million dollar terminal project was expected to produce 10 percent of the state's natural gas supply.

The Academy Award Nominations

Dreamgirls, The Queen, The Departed. Which film is likely to take home an Oscar this year? The 2007 Oscar nominations were announced early Tuesday morning. Larry is joined by FilmWeek critics, Henry Sheehan and Andy Klein about who they think should take home a statuette as well as who was overlooked by the Academy. The 79th Annual Academy Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, February 25th.

Remembering The Sixties

In his first non-fiction work, writer Robert Stone focuses on the tumultuous decade of the 1960's. His new memoir, Prime Green; Remembering the Sixties (Ecco), begins in the late 50's with his last year in the Navy when he took part in an Antarctic expedition navigating the globe, and ends in Vietnam, where he was a correspondent in the days following the 1971 invasion of Laos. Larry talks with Stone about his unique account of that fascinating time in American history.
