Last week the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners announced that police units would only be dispatched to burglar alarms that have been verified as a genuine burglary attempts. Soon after, some L.A. City Council members expressed concern over the move and indicated that they may try and overturn the CommissionÍs decision. Larry Mantle talks with L.A. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn and the Police Commission's Joe Gunn.

Senator Joe Lieberman just declared that he will run for President in 2004 as a "different kind of Democrat." The list of Democratic candidates includes: former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, Missouri Rep. Dick Gephardt, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and North Carolina Sen. John Edwards. Others who may throw their hats into the ring are Connecticut's senior senator, Christopher Dodd; Sens. Bob Graham of Florida and Joseph Biden of Delaware; former Sen. Gary Hart of Colorado; and the Rev. Al Sharpton. Maybe your favorite candidate is not on this list.
