Michael Cherkasky

AirTalk for February 27, 2003

Larry Mantle talks with Michael Cherkasky, who currently oversees the court-mandated reform of the Los Angeles Police Department, and is the President and CEO of Kroll Inc., the world's foremost security firm. Larry will talk with him about the L.A.P.D., and his new book, Forewarned: Why the Government is Failing to Protect Us and What We Must Do To Protect Ourselves (Ballantine Books). In it, Cherkasky asserts that we are unprepared to defend ourselves against terrorism, if we continue to underestimate the risks we face. He offers a controversial blueprint for protecting ourselves, and a serious debate on how we can address mounting terrorist threats.
