On Wednesday, in a Sacramento courtroom, activists requested an injunction against the Secretary of State Kevin Shelley and the registrars of eighteen California counties using electronic voting machines. The request was rejected, but a lawsuit regarding the security of Diebold touch screen voting machines is ongoing. Larry Mantle discusses the lawsuit and concerns regarding electronic voting machines. Joining him is Jim March, lead plaintiff on the latest suit against Diebold and a computer network engineer, and Los Angeles County's Chief Deputy Registrar Christine Heffron.

In it, he chronicles the underground history of Operation Condor, the CIA-backed initiative to pursue and wipe out all enemies of the Pinochet regime. Using newly available documents, Dinges exposes the true extent of US complicity in the crimes of the dictators that resulted in the death and disappearance of up to 30,000 people.
