Ashcroft Indicts Sports Trainer Steroid Charges
Today, a grand jury in San Francisco returned a 42-count indictment against four people for running a steroid distribution ring that provided performance enhancing drugs to athletes. Among those charged are the trainer for baseball superstar Barry Bonds and a coach who has worked with some of the world's top track athletes. Attorney General John Ashcroft held a press conference to announce the indictment and his intention to look for other illegal steroid cases to pursue.
