The government of the Shah of Iran fell to Ayatollah Khomeini on this day in 1979. Experts Homa Sarshar, freelance journalist and writer who does work for Iranian television and radio, and Dr. Najm Meshkati, a professor of civil and environmental engineering in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at USC join Larry Mantle to discuss the Islamic state that Khomeini created and how it fared after his death. Larry will also examine the current heated electoral debate within the theocracy.
