Los Angeles' 11 most violent street gangs will be targeted by federal and local authorities under a plan unveiled yesterday by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles Police Department Chief William Bratton. Hamas-Fatah Truce
Rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah signed a power-sharing accord aimed at ending months of bloodshed Thursday, agreeing that the Islamic militant group Hamas would head a new coalition government that would "respect" past peace agreements with Israel.
