Flying just isn't what it used to be. According to a report released Wednesday by the Dept. of Transportation, U.S. airlines' performance in 2006 in areas including on-time arrivals, baggage handling, and passenger bumping was the worst in years. Scott McCartney of The Wall Street Journal, aviation consultant Michael Boyd, and Nancy McKinley of International Airline Passenger Association join Larry to discuss the results of the annual industry report card and what can be done to improve service.

Libby Trial Update

Who knew what, and when did they say it? These are the central questions of the trial of vice presidential aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby. In his testimony Wednesday, NBC Newsman Tim Russert denied that he was the first to tell Libby the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame. Larry gets the latest from Linda Feldman, White House correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor, on the trial and its implications.

Political activist, attorney, and author, Ralph Nader has launched two major presidential campaigns and founded or organized more than 100 civic organizations. His groups have focused on numerous issues including tax reform, atomic power regulation, the tobacco industry, renewable energy, auto safety, safety in the workplace, access to healthcare, and civil rights. Mr. Nader's new book The Seventeen Traditions (HarperCollins), has just been published and he is the subject of the new documentary, An Unreasonable Man: Ralph Nader: How Do You Define a Legacy. He was recently named one of the "Top 100 Most Influential Figures in American History" by the Atlantic Monthly. Larry Mantle talks with Nader and takes listener calls.
