Is Palestine Headed For Civil War?

Hamas took power away from the Fatah party in elections in January, but Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday called for new presidential and parliamentary elections. The dramatic challenge to the ruling Islamic militant Hamas may threaten to touch off a civil war. The Hamas government denounced Abbas' decision as a "coup" against the will of the Palestinian people. Violent clashes have ensued. Larry discusses the situation with Dr. Ziad Asali of the American Task Force on Palestine and with Ken Ellingwood of The Los Angeles Times.
