City Council Approves LAX Modernization Plan
In a 12 to 3 vote on Tuesday the Los Angeles City Council approved an $11-billion plan to modernize the Los Angeles that would include construction of a transit hub, a consolidated rental-car center, an elevate people mover and the relocation of the southernmost runway closer to the City of El Segundo. Can Cities Restrict The Activities of Day Laborers?
The city of Redondo Beach has been citing and arresting day laborers, claiming they are causing traffic problems. A handful of them filed suit, claiming they had been singled out by the city. A federal judge agreed, but the city attorney plans to appeal. Do cities have a right to restrict the activities of day laborers?
