Intelligence Reform

AirTalk for December 9, 2004

Host Larry Mantle discusses the changes to the intelligence community just approved by both houses of Congress, passing the Senate yesterday by an 89-2 vote. Although the intelligence reform measure passed, there was some much publicized political wrangling within the Republican Party to get it through Congress. What does this mean for President Bush’s second term? And how will these reform measures help to protect America from future terror attacks? David Menefee-Libey, Professor of Politics at Pomona College, Lt. General William Odom, Senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, and a professor of political science at Georgetown and Yale, and Patrick Morgan, professor of political science at UCI, share their expertise on the subject.
