What do babies think?
Recent psychological studies suggest that babies are more intelligent than commonly thought. Experiments have demonstrated that babies and young children can understand concepts such as probability and cause-and-effect. It's even been suggested that in some ways, babies are smarter than adults. Part of the explanation can be found in the different ways that young and adult brains work. The findings could lead to a better understanding of child development.
