Historian Matt Garcia joins Larry Mantle to talk about his new book, A World of Its Own: Race, Labor and Citrus in the Making of Los Angeles, 1900-1970 (University of North Carolina Press), which tells how Mexican and Asian citrus laborers helped make Los Angeles the expansive, diverse, culturally rich metropolis it is today.
