What is at the origin of this policy, and, now that it has been in effect for several years, what are the results of its application? Panelists: Marc Wolf, author of and actor in the show Another American: Asking and Telling; Aaron Belkin, Director of the Center for the Study of Sexual Minorities in the Military at UC Santa Barbara; Laura Miller, Assistant Professor of Sociology at UCLA; Melissa S. Embser-Herbert, miltary veteran and author of Camouflage Isn't Only for Combat: Gender, Sexuality and Women in the Military (New York University Press); and, Jay Williams, retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserves and Professor of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago.
