THE 40th ANNIVERSARY OF THE WATTS RIOTS

Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Watts riots, the worst race riots in U.S. history. Larry hears a variety of perspectives, including those of Walter Mosley, Author, Erin Aubrey Kaplan, Staff Writer for the LA Weekly, Joe Hicks, Vice President of Community Advocates, and Assemblyman Mervyn Dymally, on the meaning and legacy of the violent chain of events that shook Los Angeles in the summer of 1965.
