Georgian/Russian Conflict
The former Soviet Republic of Georgia launched a major military offensive Friday to retake the breakaway province of South Ossetia. In response, Russian aircraft have bombed Georgian military air bases. Hundreds of civilians are reported dead in the worst outbreak of hostilities since the province won defacto independence in a war against Georgia that ended in 1992. Larry Mantle talks with Christian Science Monitor Moscow correspondent Fred Weir for the latest.
