Will Arizona's tough immigration bill become law? [UPDATED]
Tomorrow is the deadline for Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona to veto or sign SB 1070, an aggressive anti-immigration bill authored by State Senator Russell Pearce. Brewer is under intense pressure from both supporters and opponents of the measure, which would require local police to ask anyone they suspect of being undocumented to show proof of their immigration status. This morning, President Obama called the Arizona legislation “misguided,” and several religious leaders, including Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahoney have come out against it. If Brewer does not veto the bill, it will become law, even without her signature. Would the law improve the security and economy of Arizona? Or encourage racism against Latinos?

StoryCorps celebrates mothers
Dave Isay, the founder of StoryCorps and the editor of the project's bestselling collection, Listening Is an Act of Love, joins Larry to present his new book, MOM, a selection of StoryCorps's most revelatory stories on the subject of mothers and motherhood. StoryCorps is the oral history project undertaken in 2003 that collects the life stories of Americans in all fifty states and has preserved these interviews for future generations at the Library of Congress. Millions of radio listeners hear these stories each Friday morning on NPR.

Carol Burnett reminisces
You might know her best as Norma Desmond, Starlett O’Hara or Eunice Higgins, but those ladies have long since left the stage. Their creator, Carol Burnett, pulls back the curtain on the hilarious and frustrating moments in her acting career, and some of the personal trials and triumphs she encountered along the way in her book This Time Together.
