Obama Open to Prosecutions on Torture Memos
President Obama said Tuesday that while he does not plan to prosecute CIA agents who carried out harsh interrogation techniques, he would not rule out prosecuting the senior Bush administration officials who provided the legal rationale for them. He also stressed that such an investigation should be carried out by an independent commission to avoid partisanship. David Lazarus discusses the arguments surrounding the issue.
