On Monday 33 people died in a mass-shooting at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg in what is being called the worst such incident in U.S. history. The alleged lone-shooter, Cho Seung-Hui, was among the dead. Joining Larry to talk about the incident are writer and Blacksburg native Steve Grant, Katherine Newman, Professor of Sociology at Princeton University and author of Rampage: The Social Roots of School Shootings (Basic Books), Professor Max Bromley of the Department of Criminology at the University of South Florida, Sean Burke of the School Safety Advocacy Council, and Professor of Political Science at Cal State Fullerton Phil Gianos, who was a professor at the time of a similar 1976 incident in Fullerton.
