Strategy Update
Larry Mantle speaks with Ben Works, Executive Director of the Strategic Issues Research Institute, an independent think tank in Washington, D. C., about the latest in the war with Iraq. U.S. forces engaged the Republican Guard Medina Division around Karbala; the main attack on Baghdad could begin at any time, a US POW has been rescued, and Rumsfeld continues to distance himself from what he calls "General Franks' war plan."
Logistics And Supply In Wartime
Allied supply lines stretch behind troops at the front all the way back to Kuwait. Some would say that the supply lines continue back to the Continental U.S., or CONUS. What does it take to supply coalition forces with the things they need for battle? Joining host Larry Mantle to talk about this is Dr. Steven Anders, Command historian, US Army Quartermaster Center and School at Fort Lee and Jack Holly, a retired USMC Colonel who was the logistics operations officer in both Saudi Arabia and Somalia.
Teachers, Students And The War
What role should teachers play in informing students about the war in Iraq and how much of their personal opinions about the war should teachers express when discussing the war with students in the classroom. Larry Mantle takes calls from listeners with special emphasis on hearing from teachers, parents, students and school administrators about this issue.
