Ike Turner died this week. He performed on the first Rock n' Roll single and gained notoriety as Tina Turner's abusive husband. He also performed the Off-Ramp theme song.

This month, KPCC has been highlighting places that need volunteers. Queena Kim visits My Friend's Place, the only full-time resource center for homeless youth in Los Angeles.
