Tony Marcano
My role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of our newsroom and to work in collaboration with other newsroom leaders to shape unique ways to provide distinctive coverage of our region.
I started my career in my hometown, New York, as a copy boy -- yes, we were called that way back when -- at The Daily News. I’ve since worked in a wide range of jobs at news outlets across the country, including the L.A. Times, The New York Times, and NPR.
I was raised in the James Monroe Houses in the Bronx. I’m a Mets fan (go figure) but I love going to Dodger Stadium. And ain't nothin' in the Bronx like the Hollywood Bowl.
