What I cover
I lead the team of producers who bring you LAist news every day at 89.3 on the FM radio dial or through the LAist app. I work with the hosts, reporters and editors across our newsroom to craft, write and edit stories for the ear and make sure the stories you hear during our newscasts are accurate, timely, interesting and relevant to your daily life. When news breaks, I’m in the studio calling the shots and working with the producers and host to make sure you know what we know and what we’re trying to find out.
My background
I’ve spent my entire career in radio — from my cub days as a reporter, producer and host in Jacksonville, Fla., where I covered everything from tropical storms to local government to a manatee rescue and more, to my 10 years as a producer on AirTalk here at LAist, where I produced thousands of segments over hundreds of live shows and covered breaking news events like the 2015 San Bernardino shooting and Jan. 6 Capitol riots as they unfolded in real time. I’m originally from southwestern New Hampshire and am a proud Syracuse University alum.
My goals
I want to make sure that listeners walk away from an LAist newscast feeling informed, better connected to their community and like their time spent listening was time well spent.
