Kathy Nicole Leath and her baby, Genesis True Leath, went missing on Saturday while grocery shopping with Kathy's uncle and caretaker, Cortez Leath.

After a nine-hour standoff with police, a man who barricaded himself in a Downey apartment has been arrested, reports ABC News. The incident began last night when Jeffrey Zuniga, 24, allegedly threatened his 18-year-old niece with a gun during a fight. The girl called the police, and Zuniga left the location of their argument and went to his mother's apartment on Elm Vista Drive and Bellflower Boulevard in Downey.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 23-year-old woman who went missing over the weekend along with her 4-week-old daughter. Four clinics in the San Fernando Valley have been shut down after a federal raid allegedly found them handing out illegal prescriptions for OxyContin, reports the Daily News. Two of the clinics were in Reseda, one was in Northridge and one was in Van Nuys. The raid was prompted by a number of recent overdoses, and was carried out by officials from local, state and federal organizations, including the FBI, LAPD and the California Department of Justice.

A man who allegedly drove drunk and killed his nephew is expected to be arraigned on murder charges today, reports the OC Register. Tapu Aniceto Sitagata, 27, was drinking at the Newport Five Cocktail Lounge in Tustin on the night of Dec. 20, 2010. He became so intoxicated that both a bartender and a police officer separately offered to call him a cab, but he refused.

Rescue teams have resumed a search for a young man who was swept out to sea in Huntington Beach last night and hasn't been seen since, reports CBS News. The man, 26-year-old Jowayne Binford of Long Beach, was boogie boarding with three friends when a lifeguard warned them to stay close to shore, since the guard tower was closing and the swell was unusually strong.
