Old Faithful Inn Gets a Quake-Resistant Facelift

The first national park inn, in America's first national park, is getting a much needed — but painstaking — facelift.
The majestic Old Faithful Inn is more than 100 years old and sits on one of the most active earthquake zones in the country. Beyond a seismic retrofit, the Inn's vintage wiring and plumbing is being replaced and updated.
It's specialized, intensive work, carried out miles from any construction supplies.
