Topline:

The Dodgers lost to the Blue Jays on Tuesday night in Game 4 of the World Series. The final score was 6-2. Unlike Game 3, the outing was settled in 9 innings.

Where do things stand? The series in now tied 2-2. The Blue Jays victory came after an epic Game 3 that lasted 18 innings and ended on a walk-off homer by Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers now have to win in Toronto to defend the title.

Who was pitching? Shohei Ohtani was the starting pitcher for the Dodgers, following his history-making appearance on offense Monday night. Ohtani became the first player in post-season history to reach base nine times. He had two doubles and two homers in his first four at-bats before being walked in his final five plate appearances (four times intentionally). Ohtani left Game 4 in the seventh inning with the Dodgers behind.

How to get there: If you were lucky enough to have tickets for the game, you can catch a free ride on Metro's Dodger Express Bus from Union Station in downtown or the multiple locations in the South Bay, including the Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena. Plan ahead. The express runs every 10 minutes and starts 2 1/2 hours before game time.

Didn't get a ticket? The game was broadcast live on Fox, Channel 11.

History in the making: The Dodgers won the World Series last year, making them the defending champions. If they clinch the championship this year, it will be the first time a team has pulled off a consecutive win since the New York Yankees won three in a row from 1998-2000.

The Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the Toronto Blue Jays with a 6-5, 18-inning win in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night, producing a lengthy list of records topped by Shohei Ohtani as they took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven matchup.
