Social worker admits defrauding In-Home Supportive Services program
Governor Schwarzenegger is targeting fraud in the In-Home Supportive Services program. That program pays people to help take care of seniors or disabled people at home. The governor met with county district attorneys about the program earlier this week and said the state could save hundreds of millions of dollars by eliminating fraud in the program.
On KPCC’s "AirTalk," a listener from Silverlake named Jessie said she knows firsthand about fraud in the program.
