Report: Just 1 in 9 eligible California kids received subsidized care in 2017
More than 2 million California children ages 0-12 are eligible for state-funded child care and preschool programs. But only one out of nine was actually enrolled in 2017, according to new analysis from the California Budget and Policy Center.
