Music, prayers, and calls to action: Scenes from the Pasadena #ElPasoFirme vigil
Over 40 vigils are being held this week – around Los Angeles and in cities across the country – in memory of the 22 people killed in the El Paso shooting last weekend. The vast majority of the victims were Latino. The shooter faces possible hate crime charges.
At one such gathering in Pasadena, attendees held electric candles as organizers spoke about the pain being felt in the community.
