More money proposed for LAPD overtime is to keep up with current spending
Mayor Garcetti's proposed budget includes a 40% increase in funding for LAPD overtime. But KPCC's Frank Stoltze explains the added money is just to keep up with actual spending. The LAPD is projected to spend about 40% over what the current year budget allotted for overtime.
