LAUSD superintendent visits homes to highlight attendance initiative
A new school year begins in the L.A. Unified School District next week, and superintendent Austin Beutner wants to make sure more students show up for it. Beutner is pushing for increased attendance this year, and the district is putting more resources into their centralized efforts to combat absenteeism.
On Wednesday, Beutner visited the homes of a few LAUSD families to promote the effort.
