LA supes question Villanueva over rehiring of deputy
This story aired on Jan. 29, 2019.
L.A. County supervisors took an unusual step today: They questioned Sheriff Alex Villanueva about a deputy he re-hired after that deputy had been terminated for alleged domestic abuse and stalking. The supervisors raised two concerns: They're worried the sheriff is sending the wrong message about domestic violence, and that he's changed the standard for what can get a deputy fired.
