LA's First Emergency Homeless Shelter Under Mayor's Bridge Housing Initiative Opens Sept. 10
On September 10, the City of LA will open the first of at least a dozen proposed “emergency bridge housing” homeless shelters. They’re supposed smooth homeless people’s transition from the street to permanent housing. KPCC’s Housing reporter Matt Tinoco dropped by the shelter across the street from Union Station, where LA’s elected leaders celebrated the milestone.
