LA County Sheriff's Department psychologist allegedly molested 2 children
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department psychologist was charged Monday with multiple counts of sexually molesting a young boy and girl, according to a press release from the L.A. County District Attorney's Office.
Michael Ward was charged with 10 felonies related to lewd acts with children. Ward was arrested Thursday after the Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Bureau launched an investigation following the allegations being reported.
The alleged incidents with the boy took place between August 2014 and March 31, 2016, while the alleged incidents with the girl, who was 10, took place between August 2015 and March 31, 2016.
If convicted, Ward faces life in state prison. Prosecutors were expected to ask for Ward's bail to be set at $2.6 million.
