Round 2 with the top 16 shows in our annual chance for you to vote for your favorite public radio shows. Here's a look at a few of this round's highlights and the matches to watch.

In the Upper Northeast, we had our tightest contest of the first round, with just a single vote giving "The Brian Lehrer Show" the win over "Only A Game" out of thousands of votes cast. Also, previous runner-up "Radiolab" handily beat "The Moth Radio Hour," but they face "On The Media" next, a public radio powerhouse for almost 20 years.

In the Lower Northeast, the experienced hand of Terry Gross and the rest of the crew at "Fresh Air" faces the relative upstarts "Planet Money." Can the popular podcast that made their names on the "Giant Pool of Money" episode of "This American Life" be as successful as their "This American Life" forebears were when they won the tournament last year, or will the excellent interviews of "Fresh Air" lay the smack down?

Over in the Central division, perennial favorites "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!" and "Marketplace" are still in it, but they have to face "The Afternoon Shift" and "WireTap." Could the fans of one of these shows pull an upset? They're both newcomers to the tournament, so anything could happen, and "The Afternoon Shift" just pulled out an impressive victory in a tight contest against "The Daily Circuit," with less than 50 votes separating the two shows.

And at home in the West, we have the design-minded "99% Invisible" facing down storytelling with a beat from "Snap Judgment." "Snap" host Glynn Washington talked a lot of trash on social media last year, but will he be able to take out bracket newbie "99% Invisible," which took out our own home team show "AirTalk"?

Voting is open until Sunday, March 23 at 6 p.m. There are two ways to vote:

Here's the schedule for the rest of the tournament:

• Top 16:  Wednesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, March 23 at 6 p.m. 
• Top 8: Sunday, March 23 at 7 p.m. to Wednesday, March 26 at 5 p.m.
• Final 4: Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. to Monday, March 31 at 5 p.m.
• Championship match: Begins Monday, March 31 at 6 p.m.
