Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa has reportedly filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable difference."

A statement released by the couple's publicist said that "the Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012.

"We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time."

Celebrity website TMZ quotes sources saying Vanessa is ending the marriage because she believes Kobe has been unfaithful again. Vanessa supported her husband after a widely publicized accusation that he sexually assaulted a worker at a Colorado hotel.

Bryant denied the assault but admitted to cheating on his wife and issued a public apology.

"You're the air I breathe," Bryant said at the time. "And you're the strongest person I know, and I'm so sorry for having to put you through this."

The couple has two daughters, aged 5 and 8 years old.
