Immigrant Rights Activist Nativo Lopez dies at 68
Nativo Lopez, a long-time champion of immigrant rights in Southern California, died Sunday after a brief battle with cancer.
Lopez is remembered as a passionate and controversial figure in conservative Orange County politics whose ability to mobilize Latino voters led to an increase in turnout among Democrats in the area.
