Hate groups try for mainstream appeal as they recruit in SoCal
White supremacist propaganda has been showing up at an alarming rate throughout Southern California and around the country. It's been found on local college campuses, high schools, and in local communities. Experts say one reason is because some hate groups are eager to recruit new members.
The propaganda being used today doesn't always rely on familiar hate symbols and messages, experts warn, but rather themes like "identity" that are aimed at appealing to the mainstream.
One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere.
