Ground breaking is also part of rebirth of Compton College
Compton College administrators broke ground on Tuesday on a $4.7 million building that will house the college's re-formed police department. The state took over Compton College in 2004 and the campus police force was disbanded. Now the college is set to regain its independence and wants a police force that takes a different approach to policing.
