Grand Central Market And The Million Dollar Theater Are Up For Historic Cultural Monument Status
L.A.' s Cultural Heritage Commission is considering historic cultural monument status for two well-known downtown institutions: Grand Central Market and the Million Dollar Theater next door.
At the market -- where people cram down long hallways filled with dozens of stalls serving up fresh curry dishes, noodles and tacos -- some were surprised that hadn't already happened.
"We wanted to try someplace that's iconic to the city," said Angela Hudson who is visiting from Texas. "So they should definitely make this a historic place."
