Carol Folt Takes The Helm At USC Amid Controversy Over Scandals
July 1 is Carol Folt’s first day as president of USC. Well-known on the East Coast as a biology researcher and a university administrator, Folt had previously navigated controversies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
She'll need that experience as she settles in as leader of LA’s prestigious and very troubled university.
One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere.
