California Horse Racing Board Meets Following More Deaths At Santa Anita Park
At a California Horse Racing Board meeting held in Arcadia last week animal rights activists called for an end to horse racing.
Board commissioners didn’t agree, but did pass a motion backing a bill making its way through the California State Legislature. That bill would make it easier to cancel races when safety issues arise.
