Boat full of marijuana washes up in Malibu, 3 arrested (updated)
Federal authorities are on the scene Monday afternoon after a 30-foot long panga boat full of drugs washed up on a Malibu beach Monday morning.
"The panga was loaded with numerous bundles of marijuana, Lori Haley, a spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told KPCC. "An exact weight is still being determined. But based on the visuals, our investigators are estimating that the load is probably an excess of one-ton."
Authorities initially arrested one man and two others were found later, according to ABC7. Two of the detained appeared to be juveniles, immigration and customs enforcement officials told the network.
