Amber Alert: 8-year-old, 9-year-old reportedly abducted in Los Angeles
An Amber Alert was activated Thursday for the kidnapping of two children in Los Angeles on Aug. 4 at 3 p.m., according to the alert.
According to the alert, the children include 8-year-old Emanuel Freeman and 9-year-old Adoniah Freeman, a black male and female. The suspect is Ameenah Freeman, 36.
"The suspect is possibly driving a 2011 maroon Ford Edge, with 'Airport Marina' paper plates," the alert says.
Authorities don't have a license plate for the vehicle, so they aren't activating the Amber Alert on people's phones or the electronic message signs on highways, according to the alert.
The alert was activated for Los Angeles, San Diego, Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties.
If the children are spotted, the public is asked to contact the L.A. Police Department at (213) 484-6700.
