Third ex-Fullerton police officer in Kelly Thomas case in court Friday

Another ex-Fullerton police officer is in court Friday in connection with the beating death of Kelly Thomas.
A grand jury report shows former Fullerton officer Joe Wolfe was the first of six officers to hit and then knee the homeless, mentally-ill Kelly Thomas.
Thomas died several days later after the police beating.
A surveillance video of the incident shows Wolfe swinging his baton at Thomas' leg while other officers held him on the ground.
Wolfe has pleaded not guilty to felony involuntary manslaughter and use of excessive force.
If convicted, he would face a maximum sentence of four years in state prison.
Two other former officers involved in the beating have already been charged, one with murder.
