LA Expands RV Parking Bans To Parts Of West LA And Coastal Neighborhoods
RV parking is now banned between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on more than a dozen streets around the coastal neighborhoods of L.A. in City Councilmember Traci Park’s district.
The L.A. City Council approved the move in a 9-2 vote on Wednesday.
Councilmembers Eunisses Hernandez and Hugo Soto-Martinez voted against it, and Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield, Marqueece Harris-Dawson, John Lee, and Katy Yaroslavsky were absent.
What streets are affected
Parking oversized vehicles, which is anything more than 22 feet long or 7 feet high, will be banned during those overnight hours on the following streets in Council District 11:
West Los Angeles
- Both sides of Barrington Avenue between Sardis Avenue and Brookhaven Avenue
Westchester
- West side of Barnsley Avenue between 83rd Street and 85th Place
Venice
- Glencoe Avenue between Venice Boulevard and Zanja Street
Cypress Grove
- Both sides of Lindblade Street between 11891 Lindblade Street and 11805 Lindblade Street
Playa Vista
- Both sides of Millennium Drive between Village Drive and Westlawn Drive
- Both sides of Westlawn Avenue between Millenium Drive and Bluff Creek Drive

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation will be posting “tow away, no parking” signs around the impacted street segments.
These restrictions will add to the overnight RV parking bans that the city council approved at least three times last year, mostly in Councilmember Park’s district.
The number of people living in RVs across the city and L.A. County has exploded over the past few years — up 31% countywide from 2020 to 2023, according to annual homeless counts.
