More LA spots to try
  • LA Snark pointed out yesterday the news that Dunkin' Donuts, the beloved donuts and coffee chain, is in fact opening in California, and their first confirmed location will be at Camp Pendleton.
  • If you're craving a cupcake in the middle of the night, unless you planned ahead and have some on your counter, your only choice might be those nasty ones at your local all-night grocery store. That is, until Sprinkles, one of the L.A.-based bakeries deemed responsible for kicking off the international cupcake craze, launches their 24-hour cupcake access.

  • Starting March 1, if you happen to end up in the 626 in the late afternoon and evening hours, you can partake in 15 straight days of booze and bite specials during Old Pasadena Happy Hour Week.
  • A policy change affecting much of Los Angeles County is being implemented, which means restaurants are now able to decide if they want to allow patrons to bring their dogs into outdoor eating areas.
  • Food critic Jonathan Gold recently made waves when it was announced that he was leaving his longtime home at the LA Weekly to write for the LA Times' new "Saturday" section.
