The veteran rocker begins a special series of Monday dates this month. The nights are divided into two sessions, with the first part beginning at 7:30 p.m., dedicated to a discussion of her book, Horror Stories: A Memoir, followed by an audience Q&A. After an intermission, guests will return for part two, which features a live performance. Ticketing options include the Q&A + Book Release (includes a copy of the book) from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and/or a ticket for the live show from 9 to 10pm. Phair also performs on Nov. 11, 18 and 25.

The Thanksgiving Play

Written by Larissa FastHorse (What Would Crazy Horse Do?, Landless) and directed by Michael John Garcés (Urban Rez, The Royale), the play asks how one celebrates Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage month at the same time? The satire follows "three 'woke' white thespians tasked with devising an elementary school pageant about the first Thanksgiving while avoiding any culturally appropriative missteps." The production pokes fun at the politics of entertainment and political correctness.

SOVO//Magazine is a South L.A.-based, independent, quarterly art publication. Work from Issue 6 will be on view at the museum. Curated by Dulce Stein, the exhibition focuses on urban planning and "spatial relationships and how our built environment defines and influences cultural development and, ultimately, self-awareness." It features still photography and film as well excerpts from the editorials.

Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), the semi-legendary bassist of the band Spinal Tap, is on tour to celebrate his 75th birthday, accompanied by a "panoply of special guests." Lukewarm Water Live! features Smalls in concert accompanied live by a band, an orchestra and guests via satellite. Listen to music from his recent album, Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing), as well as favorites from the Spinal Tap songbook.
