  • Today’s weather: Morning clouds then sunny
  • Beaches: 67-75 degrees
  • Mountains: 70-80 degrees
  • Inland: 77-84 degrees

Clouds will continue to form again early this morning and clear as we head into the afternoon.

SoCal beaches will stay mostly in the low 70s, with temperatures as low as 68 degrees in Malibu and as high as 74 degrees in Long Beach. Coastal cities could reach the upper 70s, and downtown L.A. will reach up to 78 degrees.

Most L.A. County valleys will see highs of up to 80 degrees, except western San Fernando Valley and the Inland Empire, where it'll be slightly warmer with highs of up to 84 degrees.

In Coachella Valley, temperatures continue to trend downward, with a high of 95 degrees expected.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
