Good morning, it's the last Monday of January. In today's weather forecast you can expect sunny skies and warm temperatures in the high 70s, low 80s for the valleys.

It's going to be nice and sunny again at the beaches with highs in the mid 70s, up to 74 in Marina del Rey. Inland, the average temperatures will stay in the upper 70s, up to 79 degrees in downtown Los Angeles, Riverside and Anaheim and up to 81 degrees in Woodland Hills.

Latest forecast on the storm

Another big storm is making its way to Southern California Thursday through Friday. Weather forecasters say brace yourself for moderate rainfall with thunderstorms that could produce small stream flooding and some rock slides in steep terrain.

Snow levels will drop to 6,500 feet Wednesday night and down to 4,000 feet on Friday, which could bring a couple inches of snow to the I-5 corridor and Tejon Pass.
